RIGHT TO WORK (RTW)

Examples of acceptable RTW documents

  • Current OR expired British passport
  • Current OR expired Irish passport or Irish passport card
  • UK birth or adoption certificate + official evidence showing your name and National Insurance number
  • Irish birth or adoption certificate + official evidence showing your name and National Insurance number
  • Certificate of registration or naturalisation as a British citizen + official evidence showing your name and National Insurance number
  • Right to Work share code (please see details on the right for more information)
  • Other eligible immigration / Right to Work documents. Please refer to the following link for more information: https://www.gov.uk/prove-right-to-work

Not accepted as RTW evidence

  • Driving licence
  • Physical BRP/BRC card on its own

SHARE CODE - IF APPLICABLE

Examples of acceptable share code

  • Send your 9-character Right to Work share code AND your date of birth
  • You can generate this by using the following link: https://www.gov.uk/prove-right-to-work/get-a-share-code-online
  • Your Right to Work share code begins with W
  • If you cannot prove your RTW using the usual routes, contact Novara People so we can confirm the correct checking route

PROOF OF NATIONAL INSURANCE NUMBER

Examples of acceptable proof of NI documents

  • National Insurance card or letter
  • Full letter from HMRC, DWP, Jobcentre or another government agency showing your name and NI number
  • P45, P60, P11 or P40 showing your NI number
  • Payslip from a former employer showing your NI number

Do not send

  • NI number hidden/redacted
  • Cropped image showing only the NI number

PROOF OF ADDRESS

Examples of acceptable proof of address documents

  • Full or provisional driving licence
  • Bank statement
  • Tenancy agreement
  • Utility bill
  • Phone contract / bill
  • Council tax bill
  • Government body letter or another full letter showing your name and current address

Do not send

  • Photo of your house/residence
  • Front of an envelope only
  • Cropped document where your name/address cannot be seen

LICENCES / CERTIFICATES - IF REQUIRED

Examples of acceptable certificate documents

  • Send any licence/certificate required for the role - e.g. FLT, CSCS/ECS, Telehandler/plant or trade certificates
  • Send the FULL card/certificate
  • For FLT evidence, make sure your name, truck category/type, provider and dates are readable
  • Send front AND back where there is information on both sides

HOW TO SEND YOUR DOCUMENTS

Documents should be sent as follows

  • Clear photo/scan
  • FULL document visible
  • All four edges shown
  • No glare/blur
  • Front + back where relevant
  • Do not crop or cover details
